My name is Dan Knight. Ever since first watching the movie "The Wedding Planner" with Jennifer Lopez I knew that event and wedding planning was exactly what I wanted to do for a living. With a passion for helping people and planning events this was the perfect fit for me. After watching that movie I got myself involved in a number of events in high school including leading some major fundraising campaigns as well as getting connected with some local not-for-profit organizations to assist with their upcoming events.

Towards the end of my high school journey I decided to enroll in the co-op program to be put into an event planning placement to ensure that event planning was exactly what I wanted to invest my time and post secondary education in. This placement landed me a job with an events team at a local hospital foundation. This was the point that confirmed I had made the right career choice.

Once that job contract came to an end I moved on to another not-for-profit organization where I then came to the conclusion it was time to try things on my own.

In August 2009 my dream of opening my own business became a reality. Day 2 Knight Events a London, Ontario based full service event and wedding planning business was born. Since then I have been working nonstop with local not-for-profit organizations and other clients on a number of different events.

In the years following opening my business I earned the Event Management Certificate from Mount Royal University in Calgary as well as gained two professional designations, IEWP (International Event and Wedding Planning Professional) & IWPP (International Wedding Planning Professional) showing my dedication for the event planning industry.

In April 2015 I made the decision to leave the non-profit sector and give this business my full attention freeing my time to be able to help as many people with their upcoming events as possible.

Celebrating 6 years in business August 27, 2015 gives me excitement to see what the years to come have in store.
